I moved into my house about 7 years ago and immediately set to work renovating and repairing. Tile saws, hammers, scrollers etc were put to good use! I have done the floors and the walls, but now the project I really want to do is the kitchen. Researchers have said the one area where renovation really makes a difference in the resale value of the home is the kitchen. Currently I have linoleum flooring, older, wood-grained cabinets, Formica countertops, and a wallpaper that looks like it was current in the 1950’s. My plan is to strip the wallpaper first and replace it with fresh, semi-gloss paint. The flooring will be next. The linoleum is directly on the subfloor so I do not even think I will take it up. I am just going to install ceramic tile right on top of it. I am going to pull out all the cabinets and put in solid black with a matte finish. The only thing I am not sure about is the counter and island tops. Granite would be nice, but it is heavy and expensive.
If there is just one thing I could change to my house, it would be to extend my bedroom. I am sharing this small room with my brother who is 22 years old. Our room has everything that we need, but the problems start when someone of us is bringing his friends. Apart from our beds, there is only 1 chair to sit, and there is nothing more. There is no place for another chairs or armchairs, because of the Tv, and the Computer. The curtains are heavy and dark, and I'd love to replace them with lighter colours and velcro fasteners. With my parents, me and my brother have talked about this huge problem for us. They cant help but share the same opinions. There isn't anything that can be done to somehow extend the room. Actually there is one solution, to build up another room next to the room we have and connect them, so in that way our room would be big enough. We are still thinking about this solution, and it's only a matter of time before our parents agree with that. That would be really good.
I am helping out my husband in finding steel buildings for sale because apparently their company needed several to serve as warehouses. Since I am not really familiar to such task I just browse through the internet and once I collated the most legit-looking ones, I phoned each one of them asking for an appointment. Once I have set everything in accordance with my husband’s schedule I informed him. I am so relieved when he thanked me profusely. Although, I have exerted a lot of effort in that assignment, there was still a part of me that was wondering if I was doing the right thing, if my husband will be pleased. That is why I am so happy knowing that I have lightened his burden even a little bit because I know how difficult it is to solely work for your family. I hope that in the future I will still have the ability to assist him in other areas so that he doesn’t have to worry too much.
