I have always been the type of person who enjoys giving gifts. I don't know why, but there's something about sharing and seeing the recipients' reactions that give me joy every time I give presents. Every time a friend or a family member celebrates a birthday, I always volunteer to be the one to pick a gift. gifts for friends birthdays always give me a thrill. The joy that I feel when I see the smile on their faces when they open their birthday boxes in incomparable to anything. Honestly, I enjoy gift giving much more than receiving presents. But this is not to say that I am ungrateful. I am just saying that I feel happier when I am not the one on the receiving end. Anyway, Christmas is just around the corner - another reason for me to start shopping for gifts once again. Presents need not be expensive. What's important is the thought that comes with the present. I have received many gifts in my lifetime but I never equate value with cost.
