The one main motivator for learning is competitions and prizes that get to be won

When I was in elementary school, I really hated sciences. They were so hard and I found it really hard to pass exams without really having to read a lot like I did with other subjects. Mathematics was even more easier than these sciences. I was not the only one who hated sciences, many other kids did not look forward to those classes. It is hard for many kids to pass an exam of a subject that they did not like at all. This is because they were already prejudiced about the subjects in the question and they did not put an effort to learn it. The subjects we liked we did very well. We loved the teachers and we read in our free time because we like what we were doing. Our headteacher introduced a science competition that would make the winner get a hefty amount of money. This money was a result of the technology grant for elementary schools that was given to our school. The catch was that we were supposed to read and get an fact in science and actually put it in to practical sense. This got many of us interested in the science.
